Tips & Tricks to Help the Drop Off Process

Settling Kaiako
Some children prefer to be
engaged in play when you
leave where others prefer to
have support from a caring
adult. The teachers will be
available to support you as
you say goodbye. Plan to Stay a Little Bit
Particularly at the
beginning. Together, the
two of you can explore the
classroom, meet some
other children, and play
with a few toys. When you
see that your child is
comfortable, it is time to
leave.

Transitional Objects
Children are welcome to
bring their own (named)
cuddly, blanket, soft toy
from home to support
them to settle. We will
